School Site Council (SSC)

Site Council serves as the school community representative body for determining the focus of the school’s academic instructional program and all related categorical resources. 

The Council’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Developing and approving the Single Plan for Student Achievement and all proposed expenditures in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Providing ongoing monitoring of the implementation of the plan and budgets.
  • Participating in all local, state, and federal reviews of the school’s program for compliance and quality.
  • Conducting an annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the school’s progress toward meeting the school goals.

  • Estancia Parent-Student-Teacher Association (PTSA)
    • The Estancia High School PTSA seeks to promote the welfare of children and strengthen the connection between families and the school. PTSA meetings include a report from the school principal and presentations on topics of interest to families. 
  • English Language Advisory Committee (ELAC)
    • The Estancia High School ELAC provides parents of English Learners an opportunity to learn about the programs offered to their children. ELAC meetings include presentations on topics of interest to families. 
  • Coffee & Conversation with the Principal
    • Coffee & Conversation with the Principal provides parents and guardians the opportunity to engage in informal dialogue with the principal each month. Information about upcoming school events and projects is shared and time is allocated for families to ask questions and share feedback. Coffee & Conversation with the Principal is held the first Friday of each month at 9 a.m. on Zoom. 
  • Estancia & TeWinkle Schools Foundation (ETSF)
    • The Estancia & TeWinkle Schools Foundation leads fundraising efforts to provide supplemental financial support for academics, arts, and athletics at Estancia High School. ETSF meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month. 
  • Booster Groups
    • Estancia High School has a number of parent booster groups that support the efforts of sports teams (such as football, volleyball, baseball, soccer, and softball) and academic programs (drama, music, Lyceum Academy). Parents involved in booster groups volunteer their time to assist with program needs and fundraising efforts. Meeting dates for the various booster groups vary.
